Cougar MFD screen recommendation

Hey guys

My brother got the Thrustmaster Cougar Mfds for Christmas. They work great, but they do not project a screen like I have seen in videos. I would like to know how to get them working with FSX Mfds, DCS Mfds and still project the screen in the back. Also, where an I find a cheap screen?

Not sure about FSX, but with DCS A-10 people use Lilliput UM-80. These are about $200 on Amazon. You will need two, so $400.

You can also have a look at 7" MIMO for $100: http://www.mimomonitors.com/

Lilliput or MIMO is probably the easiest option -- it connects via USB.

Alternative is trying to obtain 7-8" VGA displays. This has two problems: (1) they are not very common (hence expensive) and (2) you will need a second dual-head graphics card in your computer to drive the MFDs, which may become a configuration nightmare.

On the other hand, the FSX crowd seems to like an old laptop plus maxivista: http://www.maxivista.com/multi-monitor-software.htm

If you forget other sims and just want Orbiter , you can use cheapest Android tablets, and my add-ons from this thread: http://orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=28474 (Read that thread anyway. There's a lot of practical information in there, including mechanical drawing of the Cougars so you can find a display which fits. )

Yea I was reading the thread. However it did not answer my questionns.
