Hey Brian The guys here in TX with Space X were thankful for these upgrades and they really look and fly great. I know you saw the new carbon fins so keep another upgrade in mind.

Super job !!!!

I thought they were titanium fins.
They are. The previous generation were made of lightweight aluminium and were smaller and required an ablative coating as the TPS to protect them from the entry heating. These new fins, being manufactured from titanium, doesn't require a TPS due to titanium's higher melting point (1668°C).

when we lowered the first stage on to the transporter I felt of the fins and felt like the carbon nose of the shuttle and had a little black soot on it. one of the engineers walking by said it was carbon but you guys are right they are made of titanium

Update 170811 on OH:
Scenarios include "CONTEXT SpaceX" line for compatibility with "LC39A SpaceX" surface base add-on.
Multiple-Dragons-in-scenario bug fixed.

Hi Tex, cool! I always enjoy your vids  Don't forget, it's Donamy who made that rather photogenic mesh. I just added the automation :)

Well, great work - both of you! I've been enjoying this addon while I'm stuck indoors during Hurricane Harvey. :)

Here's a CRS-16 launch scenario, starts at 18:00 UTC, ISS vectors from JPL Horizons, no payload in the Dragon but ballast is set ~2500kg, you'll need all the required add-ons listed in the Cargo Dragon info at start of thread.
Falcon9 target orbit is set for 51.65inc, 313 x 330km.
1st stage Flyback-EDL to LZ1 is enabled, flyback fuel reserve is set.

EDIT: Ooooops, might help to get the correct launch pad :embarrassed:
Now fixed.

Your Landing at LZ1 worked better than SpaceX's.

I wonder if that big chunk of ice, that hit the grid fin, had anything to do with it ?
