Is there a way to recreate the entire Baikonur Cosmodrome for orbiter 2016 that would be fantastic as there does not seem to be a Baikonur mod for orbiter 2016

For a moment, you can rename the surface tiles from the 2010 addon [ame=https://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4247]Baikonur Surface Tiles v1.1[/ame] according to the instructions (specifically the equation) available on the OrbiterConfig.pdf

I have did this months ago (unfortunately for personal uses only) and it is fantastic! :)

I'm not sure it is as simple as that... :coffee:

I know the system of surface tiles in orbiter 2016, but as these surface tiles are not mine, I can do nothing for that ...the author should make an "update"...
Hence the "personal use" purpose :(

Really, as simple as that ?
I'm not quite sure if that was simple (pun intended) :), but according to the manual, each DDS file must be in 512x512px to be read by O2016. Luckily, the author made Baikonur tiles 512x512 in size

I'm not using humour, just surprised that it might work (or actually works).
Sometimes things are so simple that one doesn't think about them.

Indeed, both systems (<2010 and 2016) use 512x512 DDS, and both divide a sphere into n parts.
So only the numbering needs to change. I think renaming is simple because a basic Python program (for example) could automate the task.

What would you need to rename them as?

You need to rename and move them into folders for 2016.

Check the guide.PDF here:
