ALIEN 2.0... IN SPACE, NO ONE CAN HEAR YOU SCREAM....

A New Version of the Alien Add-on Pack:

New attachments points for shuttles so you can land with them attached!
*press "a" on Nostromo, then select shuttle to attach / detach by L-Shift NumPad 4 or 5, Then press L-Shift NumPad 0 to attach or detach, remember to press "a" on Nostromo again when done to exit the "attachement function".

New Textures
New Meshes
New Docking Ports for Nostromo and Refinery
New scenarios
New Configs (planets and vessels)
New Sound: Back-up Sound/Vessel/ambient1 if you don't like, and turn off radar ping.

by cmoon55 (Zeta 2 Reticuli system, Refinery, Derelict, alien eggs), Roadware (Nostromo), Abraham Katase (Narcissus & Face Hugger) Sean Kennedy / Treybor (Spacejockey) & Franz Muenz / AN][ARES  (Alien Warrior) ** I had to reduce the poly count on several models, sadly reducing their beauty & detail but it was neccessary.
 
This Add-on is both a set over vessels AND a solar system. I have attempted to replicate /  produce an orbiter-version of the vessels scenery and situations seen in the Original ALIEN film of 1979.


Please be sure to read the READ ME file for full credits and instructions on how to fly the craft etc...

Relativistic Warp MFD 1.5  by Nicker43
Computerrex's Orbspotlight (inside the multi-item package)
Vinka's Spacecraft3 dll
Orbiter Sound 3.5 & UCGO 2.0 by Dan Steph
Attitude MFD 3.2 by tblaxland
UCGO Demotlition Charge by artlav
Universal Cargo Release 4 by kulch
Remote Vessel Control Send Key by mindblast

KNOWN ISSUES:
 
Still some frame rate drag especially with lower levels of ram / slower processors but not as bad as before.

WILL over-write meshes and cfg of old vessels but will NOT over-write scenarios or planet cfg's of previous version, I changed the file names there.

Please report other bugs, or ideas for how to improve the vessels etc... especially if you know the solution : ) to the comments section for this add-on package.

Uh, it crashes on almost any scenario. I've made sure I have all the correct addons but the crashes still persist. Here's where it crashes on the Orbiter log.

Sorry, was missing the facehugger cfg file. I've updated the package so it should work now.

Awsome ..simply amazing... good job and great work.............Just curious are there any plans to make the derlict alien ship flyable(ever since ive seen prometheus i want to seed the galaxy :p)

Im collaborating on an Aliens addon. queen. colony building marines mostly as ummu's and ucgi to allow you to reconfigure stuff. once that's done. I'll tackle prometheus as a decent mesh has just been posted.

Feel free to create one... theoretically, it would even be possible to fit such a fictional solar system into a few Bytes of data, if somebody would write a planetary system generator for Orbiter....
