Just had to share this. For any orbitnaut with a whole load of spare cash burning a hole in their pocket, an original two man Gemini trainer is going to be available for auction:

If you've got a spare $60-90 thousand dollars you too can train like a real Gemini astronaut. Also going up for auction are real space suits, including one worn by Don Pettit.

So for just 6 figures, you could conceivably wear a real space suit and use real astronaut training hardware to hook up to Orbiter. If I ever won the lottery I just know I'd waste it all on stuff like this lol.

I think I would rather buy a house for that money...

Nothing against the idea of having a Gemini simulator at home, but Orbiter with some electronics madness should also be enough...

It certainly does. I wish the Space Walk of Fame museum in my hometown would make some acquisitions at this auction, but I don't think they have that kind of money to throw around.
