I tried a high lift/drag profile (AoA = 5 -> L/D ~ 8) and use the velocity autopilot to keep a decent ascent profile, but I did not get any useful result. I will try something else.

About 5,500+ m/s was the highest, but normally 4,600 to 4,800 m/s.

I finally managed to get up to a decent speed and altitude and was able to engage the scramjets, but due to my manoeuvre, I wound up on a 270 course, rather than a 090... It's a long way to Tipperary...

Not to mention the fact that I transformed the ocean into a xr2 graveyard...
