You can create "payload adapter" that will include longer nosecone and use it with HCLV-4 basically converting it to sidemount.

In that case just create CFG with "Fairing=0" string - that way it will revert to no-fairing at restart.

Code:
  ATTACHED 0:0,EDS-850
Deleting this string fixes the problem while Antares remains attached to EDS-850. The string reappears though every time the scenario is saved.
Do you attach antares using PayloadManager or manual scenario editing?

Or you can try this:

Nosecone for 4 booster version along with payload rails so you can attach your buran-T now and lift up to 120 tons into LEO

there is new rocket called HCLV-4-sidemount in scenario editor.

HCLV is pretty much now my go-to for my fictional missions. Sorry Falcon 9. Thanks for the good work again!

Many thanks for sidemount HCLV-4 configuration, I will find a good use for it

I won't update main package however If I mesh another adapter, fairing set or payload, I'll release it as separate add-on extension

Ah - I released this expansion anyway:

Strange: I have no problems with Kulch's PM link. Maybe your ISP is blocking the site.

double checking the thread...

Has anyone else experienced crashes when staging payloads? Ive found that if you press control-J with no payload attached, Orbiter crashes on me. (I would post the log, but there's nothing relevant in it from what I can tell)

Can anyone reproduce this?

Great addon by the way

I cannot reproduce that.

What version of the rocket causes this.
What graphics client?

Can you post scenario and cfg of the rocket that causes crash?

Ill try to post the cfg & scenario when I have a chance. The engine is D3D7, version 1.02 of the add-on, and it happens when pressing control-J after releasing the first payload with the XR2 side-mount version.

Still I'm unable to reproduce that. You sure it's Orbiter 2010-P1 not beta?

I just made 4 flights. Released both XR2 and DG form this rocket with ongines on and after depletion without CTD no matter which CTRL I use.

---------- Post added at 06:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:06 PM ----------

Can you please try it on clean install with required add-ons only?

Very nice add-on. It's now my preferred method to get my XR2 into orbit. :-) Something I've noticed tho and I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this. Between 120k-140k the rocket starts shifting right to left like it's try to track a heading but not able to hold it. I can hear the rotation RCS firing each time the rocket moves. Does this all the way to MECO. At MECO it starts a slow spin since the RCS was firing when the MECO occured. Anyone coming across that? Thanx!

Never seen anything like this. What version of Orbiter do you use?
