Also, if it would be about the effort, I could write you a Lua script to do such an update automatically for all source files. (Lua is great in handling strings and regular expressions) No need to waste your lifetime on this.
What lifetime? I can probably do it in an afternoon. It would take longer to learn Lua, plus I'd have to check the results...
The thing here is preparing things before so we only have to this once.

Any problems with this header then?

Also, should it be included in the .cpp files as well?
If so, should there be a differentiation between .h and .cpp files: "<name of class/task in file> definition" vs "<name of class/task in file> declaration"?
If so, what about classes defined only in .h files?

The RWY designators are missing.

Here s a Google Earth image of both RWY ends (22L/04R)

The parallel (shorter) RWY 22R/04L designators are also missing: I remember it was used at least once (STS-126?) for landing.

Is using Google images for SSU RWYs a problem due to copyright issues?

The temporary runway is there and it looks like the what is seen in Google Earth. It doesn't have a texture, and IMO it doesn't need one (same for the "main" runway). It might not be visible from far away, because the lower surface tiles use an image that predates the runway, but it should be visible at the start of OGS.

Yes, it was used once, and you can now use it as well.

I added here RWY 04R and changed the hue of the tarmac to better match it with the real one. Problem is I can only add one RWY designator as the texture use only one RWY end. So it's either 04R or 22L.
Am I wrong?

What is the "Max. resolution level" parameter in "Visual Effects" tab?

Attachment 15649
One could make a ruwnay texture so that it looks like the real thing, but IMO it is a waste of time and disk space as the 2 main landing sites (KSC and EAFB) are now well covered by surface tiles.

Sounds reasonable. The lack of RWY designator though "upsets" me a bit
but maybe it's just me who cannot see it at the OGS distance

Wait a minute: are you talking about the temporary runway, or the main one?
IMO, both are well visible in the surface tiles, but the runway texture present on the main runway doesn't have the detail level of the surface tiles below.

Whatever the resolution you won't be able to read things on the runway from 4 or 5Km away.
I think the writing there is more for use at low-altitude and ground-level.

MY main gripe is that they're very blurry when viewed up close such as during the actual roll out. The surface tiles were always meant to look good from far away, not up close. Even the highly acclaimed FSX uses high-res textures for the actual runways and taxiways as well as the aprons for its airports.

I have no problem with more detail, but the current runway texture although sharper, is a step away from what is below it in terms of detail.
In the end the rollout is what, 1 minute long? Why worry about sharp lines on the runway when we have a vc that doesn't fit the rest of the vehicle for several releases now?

Sorry if it's out of topic: since I am updating SSU with SVN many scenarios do not work anymore (most of them were mine but also a lot of SSU folder ones have the same problem)

Can anyone post here a working scenario with SSU docked to ISS AtoZ?

thanks

Here is what I found

Historic Missions folder

Launch scenarios:

- CTD for STS 101-102-104-106-118-119-131-88-96-97-98.

- Countdown holds at t-31 for STS 120-92. (STS-92 shows also the RSS closed)

Orbit scenarios:

No CTD but the PB Doors are closed and the bridge rails are shifted outside the PB in front of the orbiter (STS-101-110-111)

In most CTD cases the logfile shows "SSU_Tank" vessel not found. I guess it should be changed into SSU_SWT or SSU_SLWT. Don't know if that's the only reason for the CTDs
