Default Implimenting Automatically Gimbaled Thrusters

I'm working on a space tug and have written a basic dll for it based on the vessel tutorial on orbiter wiki.

When I dock with a station module or other vessel I want my thrust vectors and heading indicator to automatically shift so that they are lined up with the CG of the complete stack.

How do I go about doing this?

Re: heading indicator - no idea about that. Re: zero-torque thrust vectors - this is a variation of "stack RCS optimization" theme, so you can look up the source code of NTR core stage, I would say you can forego the linear programming approach used there and switch to constrained optimization with the NLopt library. This is the approach I use when too lazy to write out an exact solution, or when there are numerous options in what the thrusters are and what they do etc.
