Post Months and the Moon Phases

According to many people, "Months are connected with the Moon Phases." Is it true? False!
The Moon takes about 29.530589 days to orbit the Earth and our calendar months have about 30-31 days. If you multiply the 29.5 days with 12, you can get 354 days, 11 days shorter than 365 days. Theoretically, if you add a lunar month after 3 years, you are aligned with the seasons. Is there any other trick to have both lunar months and solar year?

Dad joke inbound -

Do you know how to tell a waxing moon from a waning moon?

During a waxing moon, if you listen carefully, you can hear the screaming.

Thankfully, my wife shaves.
Weirdly enough, she's the only one in the family that does.

Nah, I just take a pair of scissors to cut down the bush a bit when it gets too large. I'm too lazy to shave, but luckily also blessed with rather slow growth of facial hair.
