So I found a model to use for the rover. Free to use just no commercial use.


I need to animate and add some parts for the copter. Just going to make the wheel rotate, turn and mast move


and remade the scout:

Thanks. It looks like new textures, right? Can we use it? do you have a new model of this?

Thanks. I got it. Converted to 3ds. But got some issues. In the conversion some of the textures got converted.



So I may need to retexture Also this dds didnot load.

unfortunately, i can't because if i exported as a .3DS, the model will be distorted

Never mind I got it. So to make it work in orbiter I need to separate each part into different materials/textures.

Not yet. Been working on shuttle stuff.

But this will be in issue:

The main body will be next. Do you have images of your finished model so I can compare. ANd because 5-6 images were merged I need to re-texture those. Mainly the camera,mast, bridge at the rear,.....

i don't have the image yet but it has a RIMFAX on the bottom back of the rover https://www.hou.usra.edu/meetings/ipm2016/pdf/4031.pdf and a golden bellypan on the bottom of the rover coloured green in the diagram

and also the supercam itself i didn't texture it, i use some black lining parts and some circle parts to make it stand out

This is what I so far. I am at a standstill. Can you send me the mast and camera and arm in fbx? Rename the texture so that the converter will not merge them




See the bridge arm mast used textures that were merged in the conversation

So these are the parts I can finish as i don't have the texture. The convert process merge 5-6 textures.

not sure about the arms and drill seem very little textures?



so I get MARS 202,NASA-MAR, as textures
