Just saw that the ASDS is in a really wonky position this time, so updating to place the ASDS ~40km due west off shore of SLC4E. This mission can RTLS but they're not able to due to the DIVH on SLC-6, for whatever reason, so they're probably putting the ASDS close to shore in order to get the booster back as quick as possible.

The reason is that the payload was recently added to the LV at the pad, so if anything were to happen, SpaceX could be on the hook for a 500+ million USD LV replacement along with whatever the NROL-71 payload cost. So, not a good day for anyone if the F9 first stage decided to have a bad day.

So it's just easier and cheaper to haul the ASDS out than to risk incurring a massive bill just because they wanted the 1st stage back 2 days sooner.

Delayed to December 3rd... looks like CRS-16 and SSOA will be launching within 24 hours of one another.

Looks like they're going for it today! T-35 minutes and counting.

Another fine launch.
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any coverage of the fairing capture operations

Hello "Kyle"

Once again very beautiful update !!!

Just tell you that for the mission CRS-16 after several tests the 1st floor of the Falcon9 remains vertical in the ocean.

Do you have a solution for it to float horizontally?

thank you in advance

Solution: take manual control, start spinning wildly, enjoy inevitable crash

Hi Pappy2, for the CRS-16 mission, I have to open the control panel with K, then change the parameters because it's set on EDL and not on Flyback-EDL and also select LZ1 because by default it's "CRS-16_splashdown_zone".

Kyle,

When will the GPS-III mission be included in the Mission Package?

Sorry, haven't been home lately, just got home today. I'll update for GPS later today. Additionally, I found this resource that includes all the exact ASDS locations, so I'll update accordingly. I was using the coordinates found in the FCC applications.
