Here's a fun scenario all set up and ready to be flown. It's similar to the Voyager 2 but with slight differences. It doesn't fly past Uranus but does Jupiter Saturn and Neptune. It has a far weaker initial eject because instead of going directly to Jupiter from Earth, it goes inward to Venus for two slings of Venus then Earth so it's a lot like Cassini in the wind-up except no deep space maneuver like Cassini had. The mission elapsed time as far as launch to Neptune, is about the same as Voyager 2 but does it even though it spends some time playing around in the inner planets. After passing Neptune it can have nearly 70% more speed leaving the solar system than Voyager 2 and will eventually pass Voyager 2.

A good chance to practise my transx skill.
By the way,I found that the orbit became unstable if the non-spherical gravity source option was enabled ,which needs a larger delta v to make a mid-course correction after flying by a planet. I usually
combine IMFD's slingshot program to find out the lowest point of delta v to make a correction.
Is it necessary to enable that option?

I also noticed that problem.
My way to solve it was : make a burn to raise the orbit when you're about to encounter with Venus. After the sling, you should perform an Earth targeting maneuver. But I thought that it wasn't a good method since it cost a bit more fuel to correct the orbit.

It is a relatively tight sling as is the next one at Earth. If you are needing to sling tighter than this and hitting the atmosphere, it could be how a MCC was done even back on the initial Earth to Venus transfer. It's wise when doing any MCC to check to see how such a correction might affect future slings. I usually set up the maneuver and then run up through future stages and readjust them based on the proposed MCC and make sure they don't hit an atmosphere and then go back to the MCC to burn it into place once the MCC allows the future stages to happen.

If a proposed MCC is ruining future stages (causing them to hit an atmosphere) then go back and change how the maneuver is being done. Example, perhaps you are doing it with mostly a prograde burn. Perhaps doing it with a combination of prograde and outward or mostly outward.

I admit that the slings here (2nd Venus and Earth sling) are tight. But that can be what makes it fun to fly.
