The Confederacy of Khartoum (I'm just going to call it the CK from now on) is looking into a space program. Small suborbital rockets have been built. Range 700 km

I now reinserted the countrys that we had before and combined the two maps:

Also Germany started a small rocket program: our first test impacted into sea - it flought 1200-km, apoapsis at 220km altitude, distance to target: 10km - it was just a test flight into sea with a small capsule on board.

This seems fun. Anyway, Australand is formed:

Germany improved thze infrastructure (railways) and expanded slightly to touch the southern coast and build a port to the adrian sea.

Economy gets better in Australand. It expands rapidly and builds a seaport. A space program is put into action. Australand can now launch sounding rockets.

Germany sent small sattzeölite into orbit, with telecommunication and researchtools, a camera, small engines and a solar power it's already usablle, but it's still really light, so it was launchable by an easy rocket with a launch-weight of 15 tons. The sattelite weights only 4kg.

further expansion: four ports, two rocket ports, more land, more railway - and we can now paint rocket-launchports into the map! (please do), yu can therefoe use the rocket-symbol, but its a bit to big or a red squre (klike capital, just not circlebut square):

Australand claims more land, including a rocket launching base. Railways also expand. 2 ports are built to accommodate the launching base. More money is put into the space program.

EDIT: Australand successfully launches a satellite (similar to Sputnik 1) into a 100x426 km orbit. It is designed to study the upper atmosphere.

seems like a rather strange game, few limitations to expansion etc

why not make a game of Age of Empires 2/3/DotMW?

i feel like getting that installed again :D

oh, and we launched zoom, a 5kg spy-sattelite with a good telescope-camera, we got first fotos of our own spaceport for test. It's in polar orbit and launched at a 22t-rocket.

Also:
did you recognize that our first spaceporrt has grown? it has now double the area!

why, it's fun, this way. and when there are more players there will be more limitation and conflicts, also I cn already see conflicts with britain.
If we would want to play a browser game we hadn't joined this thread, too.
And finally this would jus limitate you. I think here we are limitated enough, by other people and, mostly, our own certain and I like the way this game is different to any computergame. You can REAL build you own history, not only in te tinyway you can do it with these games...

did I already claim my orbits?
sattelite1 (FUS = fuirst universal sattelite): LEO, just as ISS
sattelite2 (zoom): GEO, 205x210, inclination: 179.7 degree

---------- Post added at 14:28 ---------- Previous post was at 14:21 ----------

next suborbital test hit sahara, leaping distance of 2700km, from "old" (the first and bigest" spaceport, mssing our target by just 900m, apoapsis of light: 1200km
note: the test-dummy landed safe with a parachute - it weights 80kg.

You can claim orbits now?

Anyway, Australand looses control of it's Tasmanian territory. It claims more land towards the east. Australand also launches a satellite containing experiments. It is designed to re-enter after a few months. This is the first launch using Australand's new launching base.

I sense a space race.

EDIT: Australand begins development on a 5 ton to LEO launcher. Tests on the engines begin. More than 50% of the nation's budget is put to the space program.

Current Australandian satellites:

Sat1 (AuSat1)-100x426 km
Sat2 (AuSat2)-193x214 km
