The only very minor thing I'd suggest is to include a separate vessel for F9 B4 and F9 B5 just for historical missions (I'm thinking of releasing a scenario package for all 2017 and 2018 F9/FH missions sometime soon). Beyond that, there's really nothing that's in need of touching up IMO.

One thing I'd like to suggest is for the Falcon Heavy addon: to recolor the rocket Block 5 style. If you want to leave it all white, I'm fine with it.

Yes, sorry I never thought about running different variants side-by-side.
Since the previous versions of my add-on use identical folder/name structure, I'd have to change folders/names and re-code quite a bit, to avoid overwriting current version. I'll do it if I get time....

Plenty of work to do on the FalconHeavy to upgrade to Block5 and implement the improved reentry guidance algorithms I made for Falcon9, etc. New colour scheme is on the list :-)

Hi pappy2,
for the CRS-15 launch I use the config file settings for Dragon,Charred,Expendable. So my .cfg file for Falcon9 looks like this:
Code:
ClassName = f9_v12_stg2
Module = Falcon9R_V12/f9_v12

;;;;;;un-comment ; for Dragon adaptor or No Fairing options

Dragon = 1
;NoFairing = 1
;Adaptor = Falcon9R_V12/star48bv_adaptor
;NoFairRecovery = 1
Expendable = 1
Charred = 1
Attached is my scenario and .cfg for the launch, requires Falcon9, Cargo Dragon, Canadarm2v4, SSRMSD .dll.

ISS vectors from JPL Horizons.
Attached Files
File Type: zip crs15_launch_180707.zip (2.3 KB, 9 views)

Hello Brian,

Super thanks for the CRS15 files !!!

Lack more than the passengers in the hold: ECOSTRESS and LEE.

PS:
Do you think soon to update with different versions Block4 and Block5 separated ??

Hi pappy2,
yes, I can try and do the Block4 version separately asap.

If Donamy is not making the LEE and ECOSTRESS I can try to put something together (but will not be to same standard as Donamy!).

Cheers,
BrianJ

It appears that Mr. Steven has been upgraded to have a larger net on longer arms, so the Fairing Recovery Vessel might as well be updated.

Update v.180722 on OH

New fairing parafoil model and Mr.Steven arms and net.
Water deluge on launch pads at T-10.
Manual launch disabled while Lift-Off Timer enabled.
Fairings always removed for Dragon2 variant.
Invisible payload mass display on Control Panel for payloads > 9999kg fixed
Graphics error message in orbiter.log at shutdown eliminated.

Wow,
Works great Brian.
Mr Steven even has 'restricted in ability to manoeuvre' navigation lights.

Red over white over red;
plus port (red) and green (starboard) steaming lights;
plus white masthead;
and a white stern light is the correct combination.
But this is just being too precise.

The recovery of the fairings by the nets is so cool to watch

Yes - but I might do it anyway.

I like it too, so I left the "active" parafoil navigation function, but some time I have to try turning off the parafoil autopilot and chasing it down with Mr.Steven.

Fixed a lot of little bugs in the last update...only to find a bigger one...
The Control Panel "estimated position" for the ASDS and FRV, for the upcoming Iridium-NEXT mission, is way off azimuth....was it always that bad? It works OK for KSC launches. Not for VAFB/polar. Will take a look....

Cheers,
Brian

---------- Post added 07-24-18 at 12:57 AM ---------- Previous post was 07-23-18 at 11:06 PM ----------

Problem solved:
The Falcon9 needs to have the correct POS value(long.lat.) in the launch scenario, even if it is "Attached" to the launch pad. Otherwise it gets the ASDS and FRV "Estimated position" wrong.

Given the correct POS for launch from SLC4E, the estimated pos. for ASDS and FRV for Iridium-NEXT mission is quite reasonable.

Can the first and second stage be separated in manual mode?

Brian is the expert on his addon, but if he doesn't mind.

Use the launchpad's "K" manual jettison of 1st stage and fairings (if fitted).
Then fire-up 2nd stage.
"J" key to separate payload from 2nd stage. A little thrust, retrograde burn, and fuel dump "B" for reentry of 2nd stage.
Switch to Dragon/payload and off to ISS, or required orbit.

And just realised this was an old question partellantas. Sorry.
