I would like to report that I have had success using playonlinux and latest wine with Ubuntu 14.04 and mint 19 cinnamon following the orbiter wiki tutorial, I skipped setting up virtual desktop just installing the libraries and setting the video display size to 4096, ATI Radion. The only bug is...
I do not have XP at the moment, thinking of installing it as a duel boot alongside linux as it is low resource and 2010 P1 is faster in XP with my workstation.
I shall purchase a disk and install it.
:thumbup:Thanks.
Set cloud alt to CloudAlt = 3e3 to reduce horizon gap, AtmHazeExtent = 0.18 and planet glow in D3D9 settings to 1.5 and it should look somthing like this:

The lack of ummu, ucgo is really keeping me from Orbiter 2016, as I like to land and do stuff.I would be happy to contribute. The UMMUFA addon allows all vessels to take ummu and to be EVA'd from an airlock,so could that be implemented?
I don't think that it is totally the fault of d3d9 client but is to do with the scaling of the mesh itself,if the addon author rescaled the meshes in the modeling program then they would show in the 2016 edition. That is what I have found.
Explorer for Orbiter 2010.Requires D3D9 for reflection maps. Added 2 more docking ports for EVA with UMMUFA v2 addonhttps://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3509
See the readme.
It is strange that the mesh is not showing, try placing Meshname = Explorer in vessel config file,or try using a previous version of d3d9,other than that I don't know what to suggest.
Explorer mesh reworked.Replace existing mesh and add the additional textures, back up the old mesh first.See readme.Requires Explorer addon.http s://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=7096
Updated with control problems fixed, see the readme.
Moving the thrust points away from the centre of gravity has solved it, but I do find it odd that a 1000 ton mass equivelant ship with ample thrust to rotate it
should be hindered by a 1 ton ship docked to it, other addons like deepstar don,t seem to behave this way,the behaviour is the same...
The ship addon has huge mass and huge thrust, its an interplanetary vessel but the reduction in rcs and translation thrust is disproportionately large,so large it hardly moves even with a low mass like shuttlePB docked, but with no ship docked it is fine.
When I add thrust values to my explorer addon and launch orbiter, the rotation and translation drastically reduces when I dock another ship to it and farther reduces when more ships are docked. Is this a bug or is there a way to ignore the mass of docked ships by inserting the correct piece of...
I used anim8tor ring script, set the length to zero so the texture is uniform. The transparent texture is not recognized in orbiter so use some emissive then copy/paste ring then flip normals.
