Optimized XR5 Mesh v1 2012-09-20

Thanks to a modified version of the Blender .msh import/export script, I am proud to present an optimized version of the XR5 Vanguard mesh. All skin compatibility and animations have been preserved.
By removing unneeded polygons and reducing cockpit detail, I have reduced the polycount by 45%. Low-end computers can expect a massive performance boost. I have also corrected a few edge flaws and tweaked certain joints to drastically improve shading quality, as well as improved edge flow and topology.
With the exception of the cockpit, all poly reduction has left the shape of the mesh unaltered. However, I used a few of the polys I freed up to improve detail in a few areas where I felt it could use it, the bottom of the nose is now more rounded, as is the fuselage between the bay doors and engines.

There is undoubtably still room for poly reduction, plus there are some areas where a minor change in shape could do wonders (fewer sides on the landing gear struts, for instance)
This mesh has been heavily reworked, the entire starboard side of the hull was thrown out and re-done as a mirror of the port side. There may be a few alignment issues I didn't catch, please report any visual flaws you may notice. I am also interested in knowing which you like better, the smooth-joined wings of the old mesh or my new sharp-edged wing joints.
It would also be possible to create a low-res version for very low-end computers, if there is desire for such a thing. Please comment accordingly.
