SVN Hosting of D3D9Client on OrbitHangar
Request for information to host the D3D9Client svn repo on OrbitHangar

first I would like to ask if it is possible to host the D3D9Client repository (subversion) at OrbitHangar.

If yes, I would like to ask what version of svn is currently running there, because I think I have to manually re-create the history of the CodePlex repository on my local machine first (see http://www.orbiter-forum.com/showthr...postcount=3215).

After that I would be able to produce a svn-dump file.
To minimize any possible problems, I would likely create the repository in a "fitting" version, so that the dump-file does not contain any 'features' that the OrbitHangar subversion server can't handle.

If another format (complete ZIP of repo e.g.) is better, please let me know.

Regards and thanks in advance,

Yes. I will need to set this up out on mirror.orbiter-radio.co.uk for reasons of resource management (mostly because of disk space). There is no extant SVN server on this box. What version is your repository in now?

"svnadmin info" output:
Path: D3D9Client_backup
UUID: c0f5cd98-1510-604a-8459-bf7538b8c9c2
Repository Format: 5
Compatible With Version: 1.8.0
Repository Capability: mergeinfo
Filesystem Type: fsfs
Filesystem Format: 6
FSFS Sharded: yes
FSFS Shard Size: 1000
FSFS Shards Packed: 0/0
FSFS Logical Addressing: no
Configuration File: D3D9Client_backup\db\fsfs.conf
... it was created with a 1.8.x client.

But a dump file will be compatible to lower versions as well (I think/hope )

Okay, no probs. I will do some work over the weekend if I can and will update you when the server is ready to accept your code.

Hi Josh,

I have (finally) a dump file for you to test. How should I send it to you?
"7zip-ped": 17.7 MB (18 591 602 Bytes)
Plain Dump: 71.3 MB (74 766 182 Bytes)

Hi Kuddel,

7zip is fine, you can Dropbox it or similar and send the link via PM perhaps?

I unfortunately did not manage to set up the necessary utilities on the mirror server but I will attempt to do so this week and get everything set up. User management as detailed in your PM should be fine, I will raise that point with you again once everything else is ready.

It is my hope that this will eventually form a part of the larger Open Source work on the new version of OHM (which I am still building, when I can), but that will not be ready for a while. I'll raise that point with you and your team when it is.

Hi Kuddel,

The mirror server is now ready to host subversion repositories. Could you send over the 7z dump you have made for importing?

Alternatively I can set up an empty repository and you can push into that, I think.

I already (tried to) send you the dump to joshbldn(at)yahoo.com yesterday.
Maybe that was not the right "channel"? If not, please prop me an e-mail address I can send it to.

Hmm, I haven't used that address in a looong time. Try xyonofcalhoun(at)gmail.com instead.
