Keyboard Problems in Orbiter
Some of the keyboard commands aren't working. Help?

When I used Orbiter 2006, I had come to discover that whenever I used the right shift key to activate something on the right MFD, it failed to react. I didn't worry about this, since I could use the MFD with the mouse. However, when Orbiter 2010 came out, I found that, not only did the right shift key not work, but the control key didn't work either. This prevented me from pausing, quitting, and a number of other control key functions. Can anyone help me with this? I'm running it on a Windows Vista 64-bit.

Hello. Try pressing SHIFT+F1, then use the MFD shortcuts to select the desired mode. Being able to select an MFD by simply pressing the keyboard combination was changed on the release of Orbiter 2006.

First off, thank you for taking the time to help me with this. I know there are a lot of better things you could be doing, but I really appreciate the help.
Secondly, I attempted to press shift+F1, but nothing happened. I'm working in Orbiter 2010 now, so I'm not sure if anything is supposed to happen. The biggest problem that I'm experiencing is that my control key doesn't appear to work in Orbiter. I can't pause, and I can't quit. (Except using the F4 menu.) Any idea about that?

I am closing this issue, since it appears to have been an isolated instance, possibly caused by a driver problem. I can't reproduce it, neither have I heard any other reports of this.

I am actually having this same problem with Orbiter 2010 on Windows 7 64bit. Left shift key works fine to manipulate left MFD, but right-shift just isn't recognized.

I seem to not have retro translation. I hit numpad 6 and it just doesn't seem to work.
