Spurious HTTP 500 when posting to site support
Posting to site support gives HTTP 500, but post is made successfully

dgatsoulis reported an issue with math tags in the chatbox, and said that he got an HTTP 500 when trying to post to site support. However, there exist three threads on the issue in site support, indicating that new issues in site support seem to post successfully, but display an error to the user.

I will report if I get HTTP 500 as I post this thread.

Posting a reply to the thread with quick reply also returns HTTP 500 despite a successful posting. This post is being done as a full reply (not quick reply) to test if that throws a 500 as well (probably).

Confirmed: the initial submission of an issue and both reply methods return HTTP 500, but the post succeeds despite the error in all cases.
