I can agree with that. My supposition is that the Cold War was the impetus that pushed the advancement of the base technologies. And its not that I am thanking the Cold War, I am mearly observing the forces and patterns in history.

Yeah, what he said. Actually, I keep trying to figure a way for me to react professionally, but I keep running into the same issues. I am not convinced that law enforcement has the tools to give these kinds of people an appropriate deterrent to attacks such as these. Here's hoping, however.

I agree that the person or persons involved in this and the attack on SimNASA need to be hunted down. They were malicious and hurt the entire community, including those folks who put their own blood, sweat, tears, and tireless devotion of their own free time to this hobby so many of us enjoy...

Well, I just joined in the midst of all this attack crud. I am a member of Brad's SimNASA group and as you may already know, it got wiped by one of the @$$hole attacks that got Avsim. So, I thought I'd join here, since as a SimNASA member, we use Orbiter quite a bit.

It is unfortunate AVSIM, SimNASA, attempts elsewhere... Guys, we can stand around bashing the operators of these sites or we can realize that they weren't the only targets. Or, quite likely, even the real targets. We can call these hacker attacks or vandals or a myriad of other names, but...
