    Orbiterwiki maintenance

The best way to update the main page is to set up a copy of the page under something like "Main Page/MyRedesign", edit it as much as you like, get it reviewed when ready, and then Urwumpe or myself can apply your changes to the real thing. To set up such a page, you'd click on the protected...

    OrbiterWiki updates: twitter, WikiLove

OrbiterWiki now has a Twitter page where I'll be posting any more-or-less significant changes and stuff. Also, as suggested by Urwumpe, I've installed the WikiLove addon. It allows people to easily give awards to contributors. The awards can be defined by ourselves, in fact some space-themed...

    OHM WindowTack

DG IV: You can fix this by going into YourOrbiterDir/Config and deleting the file named "WindowTack.ini". Also, if you PM me the contents of this file, I'll check if there's anything unusual in there.

Question Where should module config files go?

It is of course determined by the module. The question is how the module should determine it. I guess I'll stick mine into /Config/Modules; it appears that nobody really cares much anyway :)

Question Where should module config files go?

A couple of addons I work on need to store some settings that are independent of the current scenario. For example, WindowTack stores the window positions at various resolutions. ReFuelMFD will store a couple of settings related to whether refuelling is allowed without being docked. Where...

    OHM ReFuel MFD

Hmm... indeed, the Dependency Walker is still showing msvcr100 as a dependency. Sorry about the screw-up, Mindblast, and thanks for reporting it :) If you still haven't installed vcredist2010, please try this v003 release candidate. If it works now, or if you can no longer test this, this zip...

    OHM WindowTack

WindowTack v003 I tried, but unfortunately this only works for a single external MFD. Also, the size is not saved; only the position. But, as a side-effect of this effort, all other windows' positions are now saved and restored in v003 of WindowTack :) If anyone has ideas as to how to...

    WindowTack 2010-07-31

WindowTack saves and restores the positions of various Orbiter windows. Every time you move a window, WindowTack saves its position. Next time you open it, WindowTack will move the window to its last saved position. Some examples of windows saved and restored by WindowTack: main render window...

    OHM ReFuel MFD

It wasn't, once I found where to download MFDlib from :) But I never got round to hooking up OrbiterSound. I ended up starting from scratch though, partly because I already had an MFD template with things set up the way I liked them; and partly because I wanted ReFuel to be licensed under BSD...

    OHM ReFuel MFD

Yes. I realise it's a bit of a specialist term, so whenever vent is active the MFD displays a caution, whose main purpose is to mention that "vent" means "dump fuel overboard". Currently ReFuel MFD works similarly to Fuel MFD in this respect - you choose the rate at which fuel is pumped, and...

    OHM ReFuel MFD

Oh beep... v002 is now statically linked so this should no longer be necessary. I hope it does :) Requests and ideas are welcome, though I'd like to keep this addon simple.

    ReFuel MFD 2010-07-20

ReFuel MFD enables you to transfer fuel between docked vessels or between the tanks of the vessel you're piloting. Venting fuel overboard is also possible, even if frowned upon by the environmentalists. The pump (represented as a crossed circle) can operate in both directions at four speeds. It...

Orbiter on Vista and Win7 (actual data + from the horse's mouth)

I would find it useful if Orbiter measured and reported the time taken by each addon to return from the various callbacks that Orbiter calls, and of course the time its internal steps take (e.g. render frame; compute stuff). I don't suppose it's already possible?

Question Addon requiring 100704 or later

Ah but that's exactly what I did initially before I got into this :) The offical released version of Orbiter 2010 has public constructors for all Sketchpad primitives, and the documentation doesn't make it clear that those are not to be used to instantiate them. As it happens, my initial tests...

Question Addon requiring 100704 or later

Yeah, those numbers are a bit hard to read. I wish it was written like "2010-07-04", aka the ISO 8601 format. At least we're lucky it's not the US month-day-year, which would have been 070410 :D A crucial part of the UI requires filled regions, so the only realistic possibility is to go back...
