The 1-G Spaceship

I'm starting this blog to (mostly) remind myself where I am with progress toward building a 1-G spaceship. I'm just beginning to learn how to use Anim8tor and not very good at it yet.

What I want to create is a saucer-type ship whose main engines and navigation systems are oriented straight UP rather than forward. The reason for his is that I believe this WILL be the way our next generation of spaceships operate, when we have achieved 1-G acceleration capability, which I think MAY...

The stage is set for the next mission to Space Station Freedom. Space X will be conducting the launch of their second Drangon flight to the SSF. The flight, designated SX-DC 002, will deliver supplies to the station that will be needed in the coming months. New Release for the MAP

At last I've posted a new release of my 3D Galactic map.

Load and save feature is now complete, many bugs are corrected, Orbit information can be shown...
But.... still many things to do. and not of the less important.
The interface hasn't change since v0.2. And I know I have to. it is planned for next release, filtering of shown object too, centring on Pe and Ae too...........

STS-202 is underway after a successfull launch from Vandenburg. The crew is performing Post Insertion tasks and is getting prepared for the deployment of the ESIS.

UPDATE 1 November:
The ESIS boom has been deployed and the crew is preparing to activate the scaning program.

Scaning has now begun. The crew will work in two 12 hour shifts so that scaning will continue 24 hours a day for the duration of the flight.
