Space Shuttle Discovery is on pad 39A and ready to launch on her seventh trip to the SSF. On board is the Helios Solar Truss Array bound for the Helios High Orbital Station. Mission duration will be about seven days (+2 for weather).

FD1: Launch/reondezous setup
FD2: OBSS surveys
FD3: approach and docking with SSF
FD4: Robotic Ops/EVA for HSTA-OMV mating
FD5: Launch of OMV to HEO
FD6: Undocking
FD7: Landing-KSC

HASA update - ME-3 back home

ME-3 back home
ME-3 is back home after a 2 weeks mission to the MSSEU. They've attached 2 trusses for for the solar panels to be added on. The whole mission went smooth, except of a laptop crash occurred 9 days into the mission. After an image back-up, the system was ready for use again.

FSATGMADOE - Warehouse fire, Soyuz Rockets destroyed!

FSATGMADOE lost their two remaining Soyuz FG rockets late last night when a fire abrubptly started inside their main hangar.

Pictures and detailed information are being withheld until FSATGMADOE completes their investigation of the accident.

Nobody was killed but one man was injured when he tripped on a piece of rubble the day later.

FSATGMADOE are looking into alternatives to the Soyuz FG and Soyuz TMA spacecraft.

ORIon to test feasabillity of the Altea AeroSpace Falcon to add to their fleet!

Orion VSA today released a press statement today saying that in the near future they will be looking to aquire several XR series vessels from Altea Aerospace including the new Altea Aerospace XR-2 'Falcon' and possibly the heavy-lift vessel XR-5 Vangaurd which amazingly can carry a payload of almost 500 tonnes into orbit!

New aerospace company launches first component of space station

Cavradyne Aerospace has announced the successful launch of the first unmanned component of their ORAC (Orbital Research and Assembly Complex) space station into an equatorial Low Earth Orbit this morning from their base here on Ascension Island.
