T+ 224 Days Engineering Log

ETV left on schedule 4 days ago and has departed the Jupiter system on a high energy transfer orbit that will allow it to arrive in the Earth-Moon system in 16 days.

Several technical issues have come up in the Europa Station construction and the engineering crew from SSTV-01 has joined with the construction engineers to come up with solutions using only the equipment and supplies we have on board. A 2nd ETV flight would cause the completion schedule to slip and this would cause even more problems further down the schedule. So far none of the issues have been unsolveable and we continue to work towards the current completion schedule of T+250 days.

All boards are green at this time.

Mission timeline is as follows:
  • T+240 days ETV arrives in LEO
  • T+250 days Europa Station construction complete
  • T+260 days SSTV-01 departs Europa Station after refueling
  • T+275 days TEI
  • T+300 days MCC #5
  • T+350 days MCC #6
  • T+365 days Preliminary shaping burn for EOI
  • T+375 days EOI and docking with ISS
  • T+390 days Undocking and TLI
  • T+393 days LOI and docking with lunar station and official end to mission #1

Yup. But the mission has gotten to the slow part as there are 10's of days between milestones and not all that much to report. The mission to Saturn/Titan will be a little more interesting and then there's the mission to Pluto.
