CSAP update

Twenty minutes ago, at Aurora Launch Platform, the James Madison lifted off into orbit. After first stage seperation, the second stage had an engine failure upon achieving 130km. Due to the failure, the James Madison has a base orbit of 150x220km. With stage one of the mission planned, the flight crew is on standby for their Antares-SR Washington.
Second Update will be in 12 hours after the launch of Washington.

(Also, anyone ever play Buzz Aldrin's Race into Space)

One week ago, the Carolina Space Agency and Program started up with 250 million dollars. At the moment, an Antares SR has been purchased as well as a Verrazono with two of the needed rockets for the upcoming Lunar Eclipse. The first launch of James Madison, which is the Verrazono is planned for 11:00AM EST on Sunday. The second launch iis of Washington carrying three people. Mission Cmdr. One Year of Orbiter

Well, I've been using Orbiter for about a year this last October, and have been registered on these forums for a year this last November. Seeing as I have nothing better to do, I figured I would talk about it a bit (as if you all care).

HASA update - Ares-1 test flight completed

Ares-1 test flight completed
at 7 p.m. UTC on December 7th the Ares-1 launcher launched a Orion test spacecraft into Low Earth Orbit. The spacecraft is in a 150x180 orbit at the moment, but it will be increased during some tests. The Orion capsule will return on Friday December 10th. The de-orbit burn was initiated at December 10th at 6 p.m. UTC. After landing, the capsule was successfully recovered.
