One Year of Orbiter

Well, I've been using Orbiter for about a year this last October, and have been registered on these forums for a year this last November. Seeing as I have nothing better to do, I figured I would talk about it a bit (as if you all care).

I gotta say, when I first found Orbiter, I was computer illiterate in most aspects, and I had never flown a flight simulator before. That's probably the reverse of most of you, who flew FS before you were initiated into Orbiter, but that's how...

HASA update - Ares-1 test flight completed

Ares-1 test flight completed
at 7 p.m. UTC on December 7th the Ares-1 launcher launched a Orion test spacecraft into Low Earth Orbit. The spacecraft is in a 150x180 orbit at the moment, but it will be increased during some tests. The Orion capsule will return on Friday December 10th. The de-orbit burn was initiated at December 10th at 6 p.m. UTC. After landing, the capsule was successfully recovered.

Orbiter Galaxy searches for a colaborator

The after-release fuss is dying down, most serious troubles seem to be fixed, only one update to version 0.6 is left to finish, and that not too big either. There will probably be another update on 0.6 once a new Orulex version comes out, which will be on tuesday, for all I know.

I am pleased that Orbiter Galaxy has managed to give birth to its first offspring at such an early stage that I hope will come in handy for other add-on developers, see .

Space Shuttle Discovery is on pad 39A and ready to launch on her seventh trip to the SSF. On board is the Helios Solar Truss Array bound for the Helios High Orbital Station. Mission duration will be about seven days (+2 for weather).
