My Orbiter web page - vessels catalog

Posted 05-31-2011 at 02:50 PM by vchamp

One day I was planning a new mission and wanted to know which vessels are suitable for it. There is no centralized source of information about ships characteristics and abilities. At least I don't know such sources. So it was inconvenient to make the search in different docs.

After that I decided that making the vessels catalog is not a bad idea. It could be used as a reference when I need to know a vessel's weight, fuel mass, payload capacity, delta V, thrust, ISP, acceleration. Of...

I have fought to put this moment off for as long as possible, but it finally happened. I have to take a break from orbiter galaxy developement. The project isn't by any means abbandoned, but it might be quite a while until I pick developement up again.

The reason is a little pecularity of mine: I have two major areas of interest, Science Fiction and Fantasy. They don't go parallel, instead the focus shifts in not too regular intervals. And whenever I'm into the one, I am pretty disinterested...

As a small base, it's going to be a good starting point for a beginner like me, with lots of small and simple buildings, and a good opportunity...

Well, the time has come to launch the first parts! after some preparations and research, i have found my construction methods, as described in my mission plan

[Mission 1- Tug launch] ---==--- a Tranzit tug, will be launched using the Energia and a DM2 tug, placing the Tranzit in a 400Km orbit, with plane close to the moon (RInc < 0.5*), it will then serve as the reference point for all other launches (Tug's designation is "z GASS"

[Mission 2- Hab1 mission]...

January 2, 2011
Since its launch on January 1st, 2011, APEXSET plc. has prioritised efforts for manned/unmanned space exploration with the Orbiter spaceflight simulator, which will involve the most advanced technology ever conceived and built in the company's history, as well as in spaceflight altogether.
A choice example is the Toehold space station, one of the largest ever built, which might in the future provide a spacecraft for a Mars manned spaceflight, be leased to commerical...
