hello ... just gonna get on with it. my orbiter game does some strange things lately and i cant figure out why, first no matter what spacecraft i use thing one always happends ... when i switch from internal (2D panel) to outside my craft, the day time always switches to like im alrdy in space (sky is black and you can see stars), but it was day when i started the scenario. the second is when i am in orbit over earth and prepareing to dock with ISS i cant switch from internal view to external w/o the ship doing some kind of translation burn and makes a mess of my docking procedure. i tested it and switched back and forth fast while in a normal orbit .... and had like a ecc of .00001 that went to .00011 something like that. im trying to figure out how to stop this and its kinda annoying so if anyone has and help at all plz let me know.

I might think it is something unrelated to Orbiter itself.
Did you install an addon designed for an older version of Orbiter? I have had weird glitches when I did that in the past, when addon involved some DLL. I recall one of the funny glitches once, that caused the surface of the moon to have mountains that changed as I moved the camera.

Do you have the Visual C++ 2008 run-time installed? I remember the lack of it causing such problems.

...or it could be an unrelated software/hardware issue too.
With the info yo provided there is no way to discard causes. |

Fix the dark sky by adding msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll to your orbitersim or system folder. Let me google that for you: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=msvcp71.dll+msvcr71.dll
PS: I just like the website, don't take it personal

Shaken, but not stirred.

Low framerates might be one possible cause for ship controls/thrusters to behave erratically. Can you post your hardware specs? Specifically CPU, RAM, Video Card, but the more info the better.
