Its annoying, I can't write in English, like I speak in German. One former girlfriend already complained about me being some sort of an academic, but speaking like a steel worker... Well, by the facts, I am the son of a former steel worker.

(And the quality of our software projects is already measured in curses per minute... )

I'm sure I could probably slip some stuff past the automatic censor

But yes, industrial maintenance (and the military) will teach a young man or woman an interesting vocabulary.

Sure you actually could, even without trying too hard.

Sad to see the iron go, but the battleship and car remain.

Stupid thing of my day.

Just because a raiser blade cant cut hair, does not mean that it is blunt.

I now have a 2cm long gouge out of my right thumb, and am having to rapidly re-learn how to do things till it heals and I can grip with it again.

CA glue usually works pretty good on razor and paper cuts. There's also a product called "Nu Skin" which is kind of the same thing.

I can't stand that stuff. Reeks of cloves, for some reason, and it's such a powerful odor it gives me a headache. And I'm generally not one to be bothered by smells.

I just called my mechanic to ask when I could go get my car, because we'll need it for the weekend. The friendly lady at the phone asked me to wait for a moment, and turned on the waiting "music".

I would describe the piece as "Mozarts Op. 40 interpreted by a monotonal PC-speaker from the 80ies". I guess they really don't like callers...

Q: What do you get when you cross a mosquito with a mountain climber?

A: You can't cross a vector and a scaler.

Visual C++ 2017 has native CMake support included... Time to get home and go shopping...

https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/vcb...visual-studio/

(Visual Studio 2017 Community is a free download, but I have to test first if it also contains this feature as well)
