Default Fix that UCGO unpack bug!

Hello,

You all know that famous UCGO bug, when modules pack back after loading a scenario. There is that infamous AFCMODE fix, but it is very unhandy, since it requires to edit scenario every time before loading it. For those who play "reality" scenario (all in one), this is not a solution.

I wrote Dan a month ago, requesting information on this bug, and humbly asking him to fix it. He hasn't answered, and there are no news on his webpage, so I guess he abandoned UCGO.

That's why I'm posting a request here: could someone please fix that UCGO unpack bug? Either by modifying UCGO files, or creating addon module, which would change AFCMODE for UCGO cargos in scenario every time when saving/loading scenario. Or maybe some other method.

I think many of us here would appreciate it. I know I may be asking much, but I'm no programmer, and have no knowledge on this. Please, help me and other orbinauts! And please, reply. I'm ready to participate in this if there is some work that can be done for amateur.

Default hope this helps untill the bug is officialy fixed

I make a copy of the ucgo config file that is giving me the problem Ex(CargoBaseConnect.cfg). Then I rename the copy to something like (CargoBaseConnectLock.cfg). Open the new config file and set the MeshName to the same mesh as UcUnpackedMesh. Then after you unpack your base in the sim open the senario editor and click new. create a name and go down the list to the ucgo cargos and select the new config you just created. place it over the cargo just unpacked by chosing it from the copy state menu and delete the old unpacked ucgo. you will have to unpack the one you just droped to reactivate it. then you can shut down and restart as many times as you want without loosing the base because both the packed and unpacked meshes are the same. you just wont be able to repack the cargo. i hope this helps in the mean time.

Abandonned ucgo? AFAIK he's working on it and I guess it will be released together with the new Arrow.

I can't search the forum right now but he said something about im a thread.

This sounds like something that would really work, but I'll have to read the post a few more times and try it myself to see what it is that you're actually doing...

this bug is fixed in the upcoming version of UCGO.
