If anyone is still considering the 2010-P1 version of Buran, I'll be one of the downloaders. Just the orbiter is all that is needed since we can use kulch's booster to get it into orbit... Might want to think of incorporating Universal Cargo for easy building a launch vehicle to orbit that fictious Russian Space Station

Agreed. Kulch's ENERGY Project doesn't quite look right without a Buran launch mixed in!

Been messing with the OK-GLI sc3 configs trying to get a more realistic flight performance.
Together with the Baikour tiles and detailed bases this is very enjoyable.



I MIGHT do a simple VC for this, based on this photomosaic I've been building:




I've also messed with the textures for the Buran orbiter and (even though unaccurate) I got some satisfying results. Yes, the cockpit is a bit rough but some re-texturing is enough to get a good experience.



Again, I'm not committing to any release or further development, just saying that I can be done and it's something I'm having fun with

Just a small update regarding the VCs.

I'm building a simple 3D model for the OK-Gli, but it will also work for the orbital version. It's a matter of changing the textures.
Again, no promises regarding any release. Anyway, if someone want's to do a proper .dll version of this I might finish it faster



Notice that the window arrangement is different from the shuttle. Dimensions are approximate, but close enough for me. When viewed from the pilot position it will look good.

First orbiter mesh test. Camera position needs to move forward. Like the overall feel.
If we had classic aviation instrument MFDs (gauges) it would look much better.
(actually a nice idea for someone to do...)
But I'm happy with the result.

Ok, almost done, only some minor texture cleaning to do.

I'm adding this mesh to K-Powered-Buran-v4 (by Kev33 (Kev Shanow))




I'd release it as an addon for and addon unless the original author has other plans.
If someone wants to do a proper custom .dll version (at least with working gauges) I'll do a suitable mesh, no problem.

But for now, I'll start working on the orbital version, that has some different panels(specially the center console between the windows)

I'm confused: I have a SC3 Buran config that used the CVEL version meshes. Who did it? Diogom ?
I've added an updated VC to it and want to give proper credits.

Not that different from the aerotester. I couldn't find a good image of the instruments between the central windows, so I used some status panels from the LEK/LOK. Not 100% accurate but close IMHO.

I use David's Buran 4.8. Essentially a STS with a Buran mesh, but at least it works well in Orbiter 2010. Is there any way to use your cockpit mesh with the 4.8?

I have no problem with my VC being used on other addons. Once it is released, it's just a matter of the author making the necessary changes to the code and release an update

I only know how to add VCs for sc3 vessels, so that's what you will get
