As far as nerdy antiquities go, I think this one takes the cake without even trying very hard.

If that pistol is functional, 2000 pounds seems like a surprisingly low expectation, actually. Functional guns in good shape from that period sell rather well among collectors. Or maybe it's not quite old enough. I'm no expert.

No. IRS agents, debt collectors and the like cannot be killed by regular means. Upon termination of the host body, the parasitic larvoid that is the true conscience of the creature hatches from the corpse and goes in search of a new host to infect. The only effective way to exterminate them is through immolation.
