Here's the clip for France. Anggun is in my opinion, not the worse candidate we sent those last years... But the clip is really weird.
---------- Post added at 07:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:59 PM ---------- 21:00 PM here. The hostilities are open ! ![]() 01 - Not bad UK. Classic and sober. 02 - Hungary : very conventional rock/electro. Not impressed. Last edited by N_Molson; 05-26-2012 at 07:19 PM. |

03 - Albania : that young lady is a sonic weapon. Ouch, it hurts. Next please.
04 - Lithuania : singer or acrobat ? Choose your way boy. Next. 05 - Bosnia & Herzegovina : I don't know, the idea was not bad, but there is like a lack of confidence. 06 - Russia : very... authentic... ahem... but maybe a traditionnal russian song would have been better ? Next. 07 - Iceland : interesting. A little "dark" though. Last edited by N_Molson; 05-26-2012 at 07:40 PM. |

08 - Cyprus : too much subwoofers. Next.
09 - France : very pretty girl with a nice voice. But the show could have been better. 10 - Italy : why not ? 11 - Estonia : nice vocal performance. A little conventionnal, though. 12 - Norway : come on, this is a song contest, you are supposed to have vocal abilities. Next. Intermission. For now, my three favorites are UK, France & Italy. 13 - Azerbaijan : nice performance. Too bad she is wrong in the high-pitched notes. Rather a bass voice, for a lady. 14 - Romania : interesting plastic, but the voice pitch is not always correct. Next. 15 - Denmark : I like it. 16 - Greece : Britney Spears on the cheap. Next. 17 - Sweden : very nice voice, and smart lightplay. 18 - Turkey : not a bad show, but I prefer Denmark in the maritime style. 19 - Spain : now thats a voice. Nice. 20 - Germany : reminds me Coldplay. Nice pop/rock ballad, good. 21 - Malta : in that style, more craziness is required. 22 - FYR Macedonia : that one woke me up. Cool, good idea. 23 - Ireland : rolling on the floor. Next, I'm gonna die xD Last edited by N_Molson; 05-26-2012 at 08:45 PM. |

24 - Serbia : not convinced. Next.
25 - Ukraine : uh... girl or guy ? Not sure... Next. 26 - Moldova : Next. Ah no, its the last one. Time for the votes ! Votes are over. All the family of the "president" is in the show. The daughter is the speakerin, one of the singer is her husband, the members of the Azerbaijan orchestra are handpicked by the "president" woman. That country is an awful dictatorship. ![]() ---------- Post added at 10:17 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:58 PM ---------- Results : 1) Sweden 2) Russia 3) Serbia Congrats Sweden ! The best song has won IMHO (sorry for not being online during the show, I watched it at my parents house while catsitting) The Swedish song sounds pretty modern, could be played in a discotheque and the performance was really impressive.
But I voted for Albania. I expected Sweden to win already in advance, and the Albanian performance was pretty much a surprise. Felt strongly reminded on the movie "The fifth element". Technically awesome singing, its really rare to see a woman sing perfectly in falsetto today (most women try to beat Johnny Cash today). Hungary and Turkey had also been pretty nice songs. The German song was also presented pretty good, but the 8th place is OK. Could have been far worse. We had been better than Ireland. (But the final performance of Jedward had been far better than their lousy semifinal one). The performance of the Azerbaijan David Hasselhoff was not that impressive, but better than what you can usually expect when the son of a tyrant is shoved into the show. You know that the German vote is near, when the words get softly political... but well, out of everything that the PC cult would have expected from the involved persons to say, Ankes words had been at least the best chosen. But something to be proud of as German is still left there... the hall was build by a German company in just 8 months and a company from my region provided the colored LED panels of the outside of the building as I had been able to read in the newspaper of my parents. EDIT: As I see it for the UK, the situation is dire. It looks like a UK win of the ESC is currently as likely as a reunion of Oasis. Maybe reuniting the Gallagers and sending them to Stockholm is the final straw. And yeah, we really missed Lordi.
