Problem 1. Low quality graphics no matter what. 2. No sound with OrbiterSound - Orbiter-Forum

Hey, I'm having a lot of trouble with Orbiter 2010.

First, no matter what I do, the graphics are low quality apart from the immediate area around the Checklists - Quickstart scenario.

Second, I have installed OrbiterSound 3.5 and there isn't any sound, it's still silent.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Aside from the obvious, and I'm assuming your computer's sound system works correctly otherwise:

2. Check your modules tab in the launchpad window. Is OrbiterSound checked in its checkbox?

(It's a module; a separate program, so if you don't tell Orbiter it it needs to run it, it's just going to sit there on your hard disk and do nothing.)

You mean everything looks blurry except for Cape Canaveral? Install some hi-res Earth textures.

OK, thanks for your help, the sound works now (don't know how I missed something so stupid), but I'm struggling to find a high resolution texture for Earth. I'll find one, I just need to look harder. Anyway, thanks for your help, both of you.

It's a huge file (300 mb) so plan on making a sandwich or something while you download it.
