This is a small one, but one I still accidentally do on occasion and it's been bugging me:
On external shots, I use the mousewheel to zoom in and out on my craft. But if I'm in an internal cockpit view in AMSO and accidentally scroll the mousewheel, I get a CTD. Not always but most of the time. |

Confirmed.
I quickly tried different AMSO scenarios and it always CTD'ed with F8 VC view active. |

Hm wow! I can't think of anytime that this has ever happened to me. Either I have NEVER touched the mouse wheel while inside the craft or it doesn't work on my setup??? I guess i don't fidget very much.

Edit: Son of a gun....it happens to me too. I've spent hours and hours on AMSO missions but I've never tried the scroll wheel inside the spacecraft until right now. Last edited by Mantis; 10-28-2010 at 12:28 AM. |

Good catch !!!
I confirm the crash !!! ![]() I must confess that me too, I never had the idea to use the Mouse wheel inside the virtual cockpit. But I don't feel guilty on this problem. I mean, I have no code at all into AMSO, to manage anything linked with the mouse wheel. Sorry, but if there is a bug here, as you say, it is in Orbiter code and not in AMSO. What is supposed to happen if it not crash ? Simply nothing, like for the 2d cockpit ? Did-you tried this action inside the virtual cockpit of other vessels ? Martin or anybody else, can-you help on this one ? When in virtual cockpit mode, does the mouse wheel generate some commands which MUST be managed IN ALL CASES by the code (something which would be a bit esoteric, to my view) ? ACS |
