File downloads missing on Orbithangar?
Orbit Hangar says file doesn't exist when trying to download any add-on

I'm not exactly sure wheather this is the right place, or wheather this is known already. I'm posting this as a heads-up just in case this went unnoticed so far: I (and obviously others too) cannot download files from Orbit Hangar atm. Everything works, but when trying to download whichever add-on, Orbit Hangar says the the file doesn't exist.

Same problem here. I thought it was me at first. Started last night. I tried it on several computers and browsers just to make sure I wasn't going loopy.

Someone had uploaded a virus this morning. Due to a bug in my code, instead of just the infected file being taken off the public site, the entire orbiter add-ons directory was moved. Fortunately I only move infected files and don't delete them. Otherwise this would have really been a pain.

I temporarily took the web server offline for a few hours earlier today until I could get home from work and figure out exactly what happened and how to fix it. All is well now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

And no, viruses are no threat at all to the web server. I just take precautions to prevent them from being innocently downloaded by OHM users when a malicious user decides to upload one.

How often do people upload infected files?

Not very often, but it does happen from time to time. It's usually done by new user accounts, so they're normally caught anyway long before the "add-on" is ever made publicly available on the site.
