Hello, Orbiter forum guys! I am new to the forum and the simulator. As of now, I got a beginner skill at "controlling" the DeltaGlider and the Shuttle-A. However, I ran to series of problem: I cannot individually control the pitch/roll/yaw, can't launch Atlantis for the life of me, some of my Addon are not working, need to work on my PB flying skills (can't even take off), and other things. Before I go on and explain my problems, let me specify: I use a netbook for this sim - so no numpad;...

Loading of cargo modules is proceeding on schedule at this time. An XR5 had to delay its approach to the ISS after a RCS fuel leak was discovered. Once the leak was corrected, the XR5 was able to resume its trip and docked 10 orbits late. Only 2 more cargo flights are needed to bring up the remainder of the BG pods, then 2 more XR5s will be launched to go along with us to Europa.

All engineering tasks required prior to TJI have been completed with the exception of securing the last...

Design philosophy

Posted 09-29-2013 at 01:38 AM by Izack

So, on returning to the Deepstar 3 codebase and having a look around, I've become unsatisfied with the level of simulation. I started by forking over certain functionality to different classes, and what I ended up with was a system where individual major components (main/rcs engines, fuel cells, environment controllers) became their own class. It's interesting to see the program's structure take on the appearance of the actual spacecraft's.

I do wonder, though, as a still-inexperienced...

Loading of cargo modules is proceeding on schedule at this time. All spares and replacement parts are now at 100%. One of the XR5s had to abort 3 days ago when the scram-jet doors would not open, but the problem was quickly fixed and the cargo was brought up 2 days later. Only 4 more cargo flights are needed to bring up the remainder of the BG pods, then 2 more XR5s will be launched to go along with us to Europa.

Preliminary TJI burn calculations have been done based on the current...

German Aerospace Day 2013: Final Planes (almost)

As you can see, long lines in front of the planes to get inside them, to long for me:

Some Luftwaffe stuff. CH-53G, Tornado IDS and Eurofighter:
