SEP-010, Chapter 14.

SEP-010, Chapter 14

Jamie Cunningham removed her bluetooth earset from her head, letting it float in the cabin. She set her hand on the commander's seat, closing her eyes in a confused state of shock . . . and mild panic.

The words lingered through her head -- modulated by the radio, it still rang clearly: Mission Control had received her preliminary report on Brian Adkinson's condition, and they were understandably upset. It wasn't unusual for astronauts to have a case...

SEP-010, Chapter 15.

Constitution.

Five seconds.

The timer ticked down passionlessly . . . mercilessly . . . mechanically. Christopher C. Kraft, Jr. Mission Control Center, FCR-A.

Flight Director, Matthew Payton felt the blood drain from his face as he read the terse e-mail headers. One was from Greg Williams . . . and the other was from Jamie Cunningham. He knew it was a foregone conclusion that they had already spoken by now, and his hand had come dangerously close to smacking his forehead as he imagined the outcome of...

SEP-010, Chapter 19.

As with all good things, this is clearly no exception. Here we go with:

SEP-010, Chapter 19.

Constitution.

Jamie Cunningham swam her way to the cockpit. She, along with Greg Williams and Sienna Morrison, were the only souls left aboard. Memories flooded her mind as she aimlessly floated. She remembered vividly seeing Enterprise pull away . . . seeing the faces of the people in the other ship. Brian. Anthony. Svetlana. Her mind lingered on the last mental...
