another version of the Galactic Map
Hi! Installed and activated the plugin and see it in the menu, but can't start it. I see only as below:
GalacticMap3d
[RShift- ]
There's no control key, like RShift-G or some such...
Well, if I click the > button to the left of it... argh, yep that works. No key binding to RShift though?Posted 12-04-2010 at 01:37 PM by wrennoir

Challenges are on the way
Yeah, sign me up for translation help too - this sounds great.
[EDIT] Hang on, French? Uh... I'll have to backpedal I'm afraid, looks like all the synapses aren't firing today... [/Edit]Posted 07-26-2010 at 07:44 AM by johan

Challenges are on the way
I have a feeling I've just had a brief confusing glimpse into something extraordinary.
And if you need French>English translation, I might be able to help.Posted 07-23-2010 at 02:17 AM by Izack

New version of the galactic map
You didn't, it's me :Quote:
I've just discovered this functionnality in orbiter, I'll try to add it then, tank you for the idea.

New version of the galactic map
I may have missed something, but there doesn't seem to be a MODE SELECT keyboard shortcut for the 3D Map. You know, LShift-F1, LShift-O, for Orbit MFD, LShift-F1, LShift-S for Surface MFD. It just shows [LShift- ].
What did I overlook?

New version of the galactic map
Thanks for telling us! I would have missed that.
I'll have to wait until tonight (a good 12 hours from now) to do any trial runs, unfortunately. If I get any bugs, I'll put them in the release thread.
Thanks for your hard work.Posted 06-21-2010 at 12:46 PM by Izack

Almost ready ... not really
There were a confusion between two differents tools.
I though I was talking about Face work but it was not the case...... I'm a kind of confused.
I've contacted Face.
He's preparing a complete GUI less version of his tool. If it appears that his approach of installation is easier than my way to do it I'll try to replace my installation mode by his way to do it.
It could be very instresting and perhaps easy to bombine.
My work can be used outside of my gui too, therefore it will be easy to adapt quickly.Posted 12-04-2009 at 02:16 PM by tofitouf

Almost ready ... not really
well, I've had a look to Face's work, it's quite well advanced and the logic is far more interesting than my simple approach.
I'm making a tool based on simple patch sharing between orbinauts. The way they are installed are different from Face's job and it was quite difficult to integrate in my project, first because languages are different C++ (baed on mingw and QT) and VBA. Including VBA in a pure gcc project is really difficult and I wanted a complete open source project without any Microsoft tools.
I fell sorry about that but I could use it without very serious changes in my project main architecture.
Too complex and the solution I found to patch the configuration is so simple.... I didn't had the courage to try this integration.
I'll always do more than Face's tool with my patch (affecting more files I mean).
But it's is so quick In comparison to the main orbiter startup that it's not worth doing such complex work like using a control system. Simple erase and rewrite of each configuration file is done in less than a few seconds.
I understand it's stupid because of Face's long work on his own tool, But the final aim of both project are not quite the same.... So I preferred to continue with my own simple code. I know that's a pity but I've tried at leastPosted 11-29-2009 at 11:50 PM by tofitouf

Almost ready ... not really
"I need a better handling of add'ons and how to add and remove one in an existing Orbiter configuration."
I really suggest you consider the technique Face has used for COI - using a distributed version control system for the backend. All the hard work has been done for you, it is what DVCS is all about. Perhaps you could work with Face so that COI could be better integrated with Orbit Hangar based on the work you have done with Vash. I really would hate to see the wheel being invented twice.Posted 11-26-2009 at 06:24 AM by tblaxland

White Moon Level9 is ready
Hello tofitouf,
I have some topics that I downloaded recently from the old forum (and surely some others taken in the past on the same forum, but inaccessible for the time being because stocked on a hard disc that I have not under the hand to this instant, but that I can rediscover in the days that come )...topics concerning pltex and the procedures concerning the creation of L9 and L10.
My machine is not very powerful and, by the fact, I never envisioned as necessary for the time being, to have to know the job of this program, if I nevertheless did some experiences with it, as with the program of Dave,Pltextool.
But I really would be very interested in what you can resolve, with of the. earth tex this problems of L9, indeed of L10.
Do you want that I address you the topics in question ?

Zorglub and tune your planet
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...857199f888e&Di
splayLang=en
