G42 update: WIP-4 is out!
Posted 10-08-2010 at 02:27 PM by Moach
ok, i've uploaded another flyable version of my G42....

since the G42 thread is beggining to reach a critical clutter point, i've decided to blog the most important updates, and leave the thread for comments and general follow-ups
well, the new version, as well as the older ones are up for grabbing here
get it while it's hot!
new features include:
* bay-facing console and cabin (tab key to toggle from cockpit)
* shuttle-like docking interface
* improved flight model and engine simulation
* airbrakes (tied to the retro engine controls)
* OMS thruster set (tied to the hover engine controls)
* URMS test scenario (requires URMS addon, obviously)
* ground-effect lift simulation
* reworked textures and mesh
* other things i may be forgetting....
now, i'm planning to write a thorough flight-operations manual (at least a starter version) - i'm still trying to decide what's the best file format for that.... perhaps html?
i've included source files for the vessel code, but not for the max model and psd textures (those are too large... i'll have them uploaded separately)
well, have fun flying it... feel free to ask if you have any questions
