Minecraft 101 - Gravel & Torches

[FONT="Courier New"]Starting here with some things I start to remember from playing Minecraft.
Are you annoyed by gravel? Here's a useful hint. If you are in front of a high gravel wall and you just want to dig along, don't waste your shovel. Destroy the lowermost gravel block with a torch and [b]immediately[/b] place the torch on one of the side walls after it is destroyed. This way all gravel blocks will fall down and be automatically destroyed by the torch. Saves shovel lifetime and time.

You can also place the torch at the floor, under the gravel, not just at the side walls.Posted 12-21-2011 at 01:50 AM by RisingFury
