Transposition and Docking

Posted 07-12-2010 at 06:23 PM by CadetStimpy

Well,
NASSP suggests wait a while in to translunar coast. I started about
3 hours into the mission. - Apollo 13 makes it look easy.

First I couldn't separate the csm from the SIV-b - You need to activate pyros and seq logic, makes sense.

Second, I found after a couple of tries. If you kill the forward velocity after separation so your not to far from the LEM. Also don't leave the probe switch in the extended position. - It would dock! Just keeps bouncing you back off.

Leave the probe switch in the default position, pyros and seq logic on, hit
the button and out comes the LEM

We're off to the Moon!!!
