This is just a little tutorial on how to get Orbiter 2006 up and running on a Linux/GNU distribution. This guide focuses on simplicity and ease. The "Black sky" Bug
The sky is constantly black during the day.
This problem is normally caused by the following .dll files missing "msvcp71.dll" "msvcr71.dll" and "msvcrtd.dll".
Click here to download the DLL's needed. Simply extract them into your Orbiter installation directory.

For the problem of guiding a burn on orbit where the solution may not lie very close to being along the current instantaneous velocity vector (Orbiter autopilot's Prograde), you want to find some function of time for your burn attitude that ends at your desired final orbit and minimizes the burn time (and thus the fuel use).
