Dear folks,
I'm entirely a newb when it comes to Orbiter. Has anyone developed any simulations or add-ons which model continuous boost propulsion systems like ion?
Tried searching the fora and didn't get any hits, but that could just be my inept searching.
Thanks!

I find myself repeating the same pieces of advice a lot these days on problem report threads, so I thought it'd make good sense to have an article for reference on the best way to submit a post asking for help with an Orbiter issue. This is, in essence, a sequence of guidelines about what your post should contain, and also what you should do... 1 Comments

This is just a little tutorial on how to get Orbiter 2006 up and running on a Linux/GNU distribution. This guide focuses on simplicity and ease. I wrote this tutorial and tested it using Debian Lenny, and so it I believe it should work well for Debian-based Linux/GNU distributions (Ubuntu, etc). I assume you have 3D acceleration drivers installed.... 26 Comments
The "Black sky" Bug
The sky is constantly black during the day.
This problem is normally caused by the following .dll files missing "msvcp71.dll" "msvcr71.dll" and "msvcrtd.dll".
Click here to download the DLL's needed. Simply extract them into your Orbiter installation directory.
Gravity readout on "Orbit MFD" always equals 0.00
There have been several threads about Orbiter's performance (or lack thereof) on Vista & Win7. This is intended as a discussion thread about solutions to the problem--please refrain from Windows or Microsoft bashing here, and take that to the appropriate threads. This thread is not the place for that sort of thing.
For the last week or so,... 33 Comments
